Network access and billing handling
The end-user accesses the
wireless network by means of an access card. The access card has
a unique login and password combination. There are cards
available for different access periods. (e.g. 15 minutes, 1
hour, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month or 1 year). After the access period
has expired, further access will be denied. The owner of the
wireless network is completely free in the fee he or she wants to
charge to the end-user.
When the end-user logs in for the
first time,
Hopling Services
will, as per agreement, charge a handling fee, which is valid
for the whole access period. Upon request, logon pages and
access cards can be personalized, for instance with company name
and logo. Agreements are simple yet effective; a foundation that
Hopling Services' build on and preferably exceed, with a fixed
price system that’s easy for companies to budget and forecast.
Client Portal
The Hopling Technologies
Managed Services customer receives an username and password to enter
the Client Portal via the website.
From there customers get access
to a range of services including:
-
Network
monitoring at all times, including the status of all
nodes or access points of the wireless network.
-
View end-users
online, which provides a real-time view of the amount of
end-users currently using the wireless network.
-
View vouchers
used, and see detailed information of all end-user
sessions in a certain period. Detailed information of
the vouchers activated, expired and still available can
also be viewed.
-
Cancel an
end-user access, if there is a need to cancel access
(e.g. excessive usage or late payment in case of a
subscription) for the remaining period.
Network monitoring
After installation, the
wireless network equipment will be permanently monitored
from the Network Operating Center. In case a fault has been
detected, the Network Operating Center informs the customer
or its representative immediately either by sending an email
or directly by telephone.
