Almere, November 10,
2008 - Hopling Networks, a manufacturer of state-of-the-art
wireless networking equipment for enterprises, operators and
service providers, today announced its new carrier-grade HopMAX™
mobile WiMAX product-line; ranging from base stations to
subscriber stations.
Hopling Networks’ outdoor WiMAX solution is centered on a fully
compliant WiMAX 802.16e and Wave2 compact base station
compatible with any mobile WiMAX CPE device. The HopMAX™ base
station supporting the 2.5-2.7GHz, 3.3-3.8GHz WiMAX bands,
provides all the functionality necessary to communicate with
fixed and mobile subscriber units and to connect to the backbone
of the Service Provider, supporting the necessary end-to-end
Quality of Service (QoS).
The HopMAX product-line uses OFDMA radio technology, which is
robust in adverse channel conditions and enables
Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) operation. This allows for improved
coverage, while maintaining a high level of spectral efficiency.
Modulation and coding are continuously adapted to prevailing
link conditions, ensuring an optimal balance between robustness
and efficiency. The use of multiple-input and multiple-output (MIMO)
Networks optimizes link performance to ensure maximum bandwidth
and service coverage.
Using the HopMAX™ 802.16e technology, Hopling Networks offers
licensed frequencies availability for fast deployment in any
spectrum range. By using the compact base station together with
the relay technology, operators can be assured of a high
performance, direct connection solution, decreasing
infrastructure and operating costs. HopMAX™ 802.16e solutions
give even faster Internet, VoIP and mobile TV services,
immediately expanding the coverage area to previously
unreachable residential and business customers.
By interconnecting Hopling Networks’ HopWARE wireless mesh base
nodes with HopMAX™ mobile WiMAX base stations, a seamless
working transparent wireless network can be created -connecting
clusters of 802.11a/b/g/n base nodes and 802.16e base stations-
which significantly lower transport costs and handles a variety
of data, video, and voice applications.
“Hopling Networks is fulfilling the potential of the new
generation WiMAX end-to-end solutions through its newly launched
HopMAX™ mobile WiMAX product portfolio,” said Frank Koopman,
chief executive officer of Hopling Networks. “Together both
wireless access methods; mobile WiMAX and fast mesh networks are
ideal companions for enabling convenient, affordable personal
mobile broadband Internet services.”
Hopling Networks also continues to develop and enhance its
innovative Hopling Metro Topology, which includes full mesh
routing that has a major advantage over traditional
point-to-point links and/or mesh implementations of its major
American competitors since new nodes can be added on line to
expand the network in reach or capacity. Every indoor and
outdoor node is capable of relaying traffic coming from any of
its neighbor nodes.
The new mobile WiMAX outdoor base station (HopMAX 2000 series)
and the outdoor subscriber station (HopMAX 1000 series) are
available immediately.
