Almere, January 15, 2008 -
Hopling Technologies, a leader in IP-based wireless networking
equipment for enterprises, operators and service providers,
today announced its fifth generation mesh network software and
major hardware innovations across its Xclient, Xnet and Xfire
product portfolio, including the launch of fully wirelessly
manageable CPE’s available in several frequency bands.
HopWARE v3.2 provides Service Providers’ flexibility, security,
visibility, and control over subscribers' wireless environments.
Designed for citywide distribution of standard wireless
infrastructure, HopWARE’s carrier-class managed wireless
solution supports multiple base-, node- and client-stations and
remote management capabilities. The Managed Wireless solution
relies on wireless standards and automatically adapts to
changing RF characteristics at installation site using quality
of service technologies.
With the introduction of the sophisticated HopWARE v3.2 software
Service Providers can remotely identify and diagnose wireless
related problems as consumers experience them. This is a quantum
leap forward in the manageability of wireless networks.
HopWARE is the only wireless network solution on the market
today to deliver all the value of extended range, increased
capacity and predictable performance using standard wireless,
combined with a full suite of carrier management capabilities.
Hopling Technologies’ wireless networks enhanced with the
HopWARE Mesh Architecture (HMA) are based on a full mesh
networking concept. Every base-, node- and client-station
employs an innovative method for routing IP packets between
stations. It allows these stations to pass these packets via
their neighbors to stations with which they cannot directly
communicate, thus forming a seamless wireless network.
HopWARE v3.2 delivers:
-
More efficient and effective wireless infrastructure
Manageability
-
Reduction in the TCO of 30%+
-
Positive ROI within
6-12 months
-
Improved Productivity
-
Intuitive Visibility
-
Deployment
of Next Generation Applications
-
Regulatory Compliance
“As we look
to expand our offerings in the marketplace, it will be critical
for service providers to manage the network and deliver the best
quality service inside the home,” said Ivo van Ling, Chief
Technology Officer of Hopling Technologies. “Being able to
remotely see and diagnose problems in real-time has become an
essential element to the success of service providers.”
HopWARE’s manageability and graphical presentation of the
wireless network solution is handled by the Hopling Discovery
Protocol (HDP), a means for HDP-based products to exchange
information, thus enabling a device to configure itself for
optimal communication with a neighboring HDP-based product. As
an additional benefit, it allows support staff and NOC engineers
to have instant insight of the wireless network – of the actual
real-time situation (which is not necessarily the network as its
designer intended), as well as obtaining information about the
availability and performance of a device.
“This is the most amazing version of HopWARE ever,” said Frank
Koopman, Chief Executive Officer of Hopling Technologies. “We
designed HopWARE v3.2 for service providers realizing the next
generation of wireless network solutions, for a whole new wave
of innovation in wireless ecosystems that offers better
manageability, faster connectivity and communications. Today’s
launch of HopWARE v3.2, the Managed Wireless release will have a
dramatic impact on wireless mobility long-term.”
HopWARE v3.2 will be available as of February 1, 2008.
Customers, with a maintenance contract, can login to the Hopling
Online Management Environment (HOME) update servers and receive
the new software release from Hopling Technologies at no
additional cost.
The new range of CPE’s including the Xclient Mamba SLC will be
available in February 2008 from Hopling Technologies’
manufacturing plant and warehouse in Almere, the Netherlands.
