Hopling Technologies receives first order to deliver wireless mesh
equipment for the deployment of two pilot networks in two
target countries.
Almere, December 17, 2007 -
Hopling Technologies, a rapidly growing leader in IP-based
wireless networking equipment for enterprises, operators and
service providers, today announced that it has signed a contract
with Kazaroo Wireless for the delivery of mesh nodes and access
controllers.
Designed for deployment flexibility and operational simplicity,
the Hopling Technologies Xnet Viper nodes feature
self-discovery, self-configuration, and self-optimization to
maximize data rates and spectral efficiency as well as overall
network capacity and reliability. Xnet Viper nodes use Hopling
Technologies’ new line of omni-directional antennas, which
provides higher and better performance in smaller dimensions.
Hopling Technologies wireless networks are based on a full mesh
networking concept. Every Xnet Viper node employs an innovative
method for routing IP packets. The nodes will pass the data
packets via neighbor nodes to nodes with which they cannot
communicate directly. Every Hopling Technologies mesh node will
instantly accommodate changes in routing and create new routing
alternatives whenever required by a disturbance in the network.
“The proven flexibility, quality, and performance of Hopling
Technologies’ Xnet Viper nodes are ideal to meet the needs of
municipalities,” said the spokesman of Kazaroo Wireless. “We
tested a number of mesh products, and chose Hopling Technologies
because of the high-performance, scalability, stability and
economic value of their solution. We start with pilot metro
networks in Mexico City and in Florence, Italy. The large-scale
metro pilot in Florence will cover the business district,
downtown and tourist areas. The metro networks will target
nomadic Internet users, both business and leisure, and more
cities will follow soon, due to the excellent cooperation with
the crew of Hopling Technologies.”
“We are excited by the opportunity to work with Kazaroo Wireless
to implement the metro networks in the two target countries,”
said Bob Kok, Director of Metro Networks of Hopling
Technologies. “No mesh network solution available today is as
trouble-free, versatile, feature-rich, secure and affordable as
the wireless mesh networks from Hopling Technologies and we are
ready.”
“It all comes down to economics,” said Frank Koopman, Chief
Executive Officer of Hopling Technologies. “The leading
strategic role of Hopling Technologies in wireless mesh networks
used for metro solutions in capacity, coverage and cost is
unique.”
