Hopling Technologies Appoints Bob Kok
Director of Metro Networks
Almere,
August 27, 2007 - Hopling Technologies, a rapidly growing leader
in IP-based wireless networking equipment for enterprises,
operators and service providers, is pleased to announce that it
has appointed former Managing Director of Set Wireless Bob Kok
as Director of Metro Networks.
Bob joins Hopling Technologies from Set Wireless where he was
Founder and Managing Director for over six years. At Set
Wireless he managed an aggressive international growth plan to
strengthen Set Wireless’ position as a premier provider of
implementation services for national operators and key service
providers around the world.
At Hopling Technologies Bob is responsible for Metro Networks,
the company’s key vertical market. Metro Networks, based on
Hopling Technologies secure and seamless-working wireless mesh
network solution, represents a paradigm shift away from the
rigid, long-lead planning and implementation of the wired
backbone, and toward a real-time plug-and-play deployment model
that is up to the challenges of today’s rapidly-changing
connectivity environment. By making it possible to put Ethernet
ports anywhere - easily, instantly and affordably - the wireless
mesh network plays a role in virtually every private and public
network in a city.
"Hopling Technologies considers Metro Networks a key market in
Europe and we are glad that Bob joins our team," said Peter
Calis, Chief Operating Officer of Hopling Technologies. "Metro
Networks save governments a substantial amount of money and
creates an infrastructure for all kind of new citywide
applications and services."
Bob holds a degree in international marketing management and has
been working in the ICT industry for well over 12 years. He
spent 7 years pioneering in the field of mobile & wireless. In
his previous roles he successfully managed multinational
accounts and helped European organizations in their quest for
mobility.
